As seen from a vehicle traveling east, the reconstructed roadway will be widened to include 12-foot lanes and 8-foot shoulders. This image shows the proposed westbound climbing lane west of the new bridge.

The proposed design of the reconstructed roadway will leave the existing highway on the west bluff of the canyon and rejoin the existing alignment on the east bluff.  This image is near the east bluff and depicts a car view looking west toward Palmer

Aerial View EastAerial View East

This aerial view of the proposed project shows the location of the proposed new bridge over Moose Creek, approximately 2,800 feet downstream from the existing bridge. A 100-foot high embankment supports the highway east of the bridge.

Aerial View WestAerial View West

This aerial view shows the proposed location of the new road accessing the existing (“old”) Glenn Highway on the west side of Moose Creek.  The existing Glenn Highway will remain open, but will end in a cul-de-sac on either side of Moose Creek; the existing Moose Creek Bridge will be removed.
